The tourism sector constitutes a structure that institutions providing training in this field should benefit from the application the most. In this direction, the internship practice, which students are asked to complete during the school period, provides the students with the opportunity to use the knowledge they have acquired at school in practice and actively work in the sector, helping them gain both work and industry experience. Our faculty obliges students to do an internship in order to gain this experience. Students to graduate from the program; In line with our faculty's internship guidelines, they have to successfully complete their 100-day internship at workplaces related to their field. Intern student requests from tourism enterprises are announced to students by posting them on student boards. After the internship, the internship files are reviewed by the internship commission, if the approved internship documents are sent by the company, and the students prepare their internship files and submit them to the school; When deemed necessary, one-on-one interviews are held with the student; If no deficiency is found, their internships are approved by the commission.
The students of our faculty completed their internships in the summer of 2015 for the first time. Our students both contributed to the tourism sector of the city and found the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they received with their internships.
