Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Tourism hosted a significant event addressing the role of foreign languages in the tourism sector and their impact on career development.
The talk, titled "Foreign Languages and Their Importance in Tourism," featured Sedat Uygun, Founder of the Language School, as the guest speaker. The talk, held in the Faculty of Tourism Conference Hall on November 12, 2025, provided comprehensive information on foreign language learning strategies, developing communication skills, and the contribution of language to professional success in tourism.
During the talk, students shared their views on the advantages offered by language proficiency in the industry and expressed their satisfaction with the talk.
At the end of the talk, a raffle was held among the participants, where prizes were awarded to the winners: one month of Plus More training, a discount voucher, and a private lesson package.
The talk concluded with faculty dean Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut presenting a certificate of appreciation to speaker Sedat Uygun.
