The Tourism Guidance Department Graduate-Student Meeting took place online on November 26, 2024, at 8:00 PM. Graduate students in the Tourism Guidance Department, Sahranur Altay, Çağla Sena Keskin, and Şennur Albas, as well as professional tour guides Özgür Ersoy, Şamil Baha Güven, Aleyna Çıtlak, and Sarıgül Çelik, attended the meeting. Our undergraduate students also joined the meeting to benefit from the experiences of our graduates.
In addition to our department professors, we were delighted to have Lecturers Yaşar Gültekin, Lecturers Veysel Altuncan, Lecturers Dr. Melike Çakır Keleş, and Res. Gülsevdi Öztürk, all of whom teach in our department, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seden Doğan, who retired from our department and now continues her academic career at the University of South Florida, at the meeting. Graduate students shared their experiences in their professional and graduate studies. The meeting also focused on the contribution of undergraduate education to their professional lives, and valuable feedback from our students was recorded for evaluation.
We've also planned initiatives to ensure our students maintain connections with our department alumni throughout their professional lives. We wish all our graduates success in their professional and academic endeavors and believe they will be proud to graduate from the OMU Tourism Guidance Department.
