The Provincial Tourism Promotion and Development Coordination Board Meeting, which addressed efforts to establish and promote our province as a tourism brand, was held under the chairmanship of our Governor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zülkif Dağlı, with the participation of representatives from the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TMO) of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, relevant public institutions and organizations, and representatives from civil society organizations. The meeting, which began with a presentation by TMO officials about Samsun, discussed preparations for increasing the number of domestic and international direct flights, sustainable tourism, hosting influencers in our province to contribute to the city's promotion, festivals scheduled for the end of the year, celebrations for the 100th anniversary of our Republic, and other tourism-related matters.
The Governor stated that Samsun, which holds a special status in every respect thanks to the advantages offered by its nature, history, culture, and geographical location, is an important destination in agriculture, industry, education, and health sectors, as well as in summer, winter, nature, sports, thermal springs, faith, culture, and history tourism. He stated that social media promotion is widespread today and that promotional activities carried out within this framework will increase the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting our province. He added that work will be carried out to increase the reach of the GezsenSamsun and GoSamsun websites and Instagram accounts, which they expect to make a significant contribution to the promotion of our province both nationally and internationally.
