📌A meeting was held to evaluate the work carried out by our institutions regarding Geographically Indicated Products in Samsun, a city with a special status in every respect due to its nature, history, culture, and geographical location.
The meeting was chaired by the Governor of Samsun, Mr. Orhan Tavlı, and attended by our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, the Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Süleyman Demirtaş, the Provincial Director of Trade Kürşat Turpçu, the Provincial Director of Industry and Technology Selahattin Altunsoy, OKA General Secretary Mehlika Dicle, and the Provincial Director of Planning and Coordination Muhammet Meclis.
📌In Samsun, the pearl of the Black Sea, the number of our Geographically Indicated Products, which started with Bafra Pide in 2005, has reached 17 by 2025, including #SamsunKazTiridi, Samsun Simidi, #BafraKaymaklıLokumu, Bafra Nokulu, Bafra Pide, Bafra Zembili, #ÇarşambaPide, Çarşamba Keşkeği, Çarşamba Kıvratması, Çarşamba Sekiz Köşe Kapketi, Yumurta Topuk Çarşamba Ayakkabısı, #TermePide, #SalıpazarıKestaneBalı, #YakakentMantısı, #VezirköprüSemaveri, Vezirköprü Susuz Bezi and Vezirköprü Tahtaköprü Kilim, and 6 more products are in the application phase.
