Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Tourism brought together Muharrem Uyar, President of the Bafra Young Businessmen Association (GİAD), with students in an event organized as part of the Tourism course in Samsun.
This interview, held in Samsun, allowed students to directly communicate with industry representatives. At the beginning of the program, Uyar shared a brief biography, discussing his educational background and professional experiences. He emphasized that while university education significantly contributes to career advancement, it is not sufficient on its own, and therefore, early exposure to the business world offers a great advantage for young people. Uyar also highlighted the contributions of international experience to professional and personal development, sharing the instructive aspects of working with different cultures with the students. Stating that career building begins during student years, Uyar advised students to set goals and develop themselves in a multifaceted way.
The discussion continued with answers to questions posed by the students. At the end of the event, Prof. Dr. Yetkin Bulut, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism at OMÜ, presented Muharrem Uyar with a certificate of appreciation for his contributions.
