Dear OMU Members,
Orientation training for first-year students enrolled in Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) departments and programs for the 2023-2024 academic year will be held on October 11, 2023, at the OMU Atatürk Congress and Culture Center (AKM).
The orientation program aims to provide students enrolled in our university's higher education programs with information about the services offered by our university and our city, ensuring they have a healthy and psychosocially effective academic year.
During the orientation program, the following university departments will present presentations on the opportunities they offer to our students: the Student Affairs Department, the Health, Culture and Sports Department, the Library and Documentation Department, the Psychology Application and Research Center, the Continuing Education Center, the Distance Education Center, the Career Center, the Addiction Control Application and Research Center, the Alumni Coordination Office, and the OMU Technology Transfer Office.
Additionally, during the orientation program, public institutions such as the Provincial Health Directorate, Samsun Police Department, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment Agency, Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate, Youth Green Crescent, and Youth Red Crescent will set up booths in the foyer of the OMU Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) to provide information to our students.
We invite all first-year students enrolled in our university's departments and programs in the 2023-2024 academic year to the orientation program.
The orientation program will also be broadcast live on the OMU YouTube channel. Students who cannot attend the AKM are encouraged to follow along on the OMU YouTube channel.
